Especially in cities like Athens, Thessaloniki and on popular islands like Santorini, Crete or Mykonos, many owners have listed their properties on platforms like Airbnb. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2218\" data-end=\"2239\">This had the following consequences:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2241\" data-end=\"2477\">\n<li data-start=\"2241\" data-end=\"2320\">\n<p data-start=\"2243\" data-end=\"2320\">A drastic decline in available long-term rental apartments for locals<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2321\" data-end=\"2358\">\n<p data-start=\"2323\" data-end=\"2358\">Price increases on the rental market<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2359\" data-end=\"2407\">\n<p data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2407\">Tax intransparency among private landlords<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2408\"
